LARAMIE, Wyo. — The University of Wyoming Track & Field teams will begin their outdoor season this Friday and Saturday at the Spank Blasing Invitational hosted by CSU-Pueblo. 

The meet will get started on Friday with the Javelin and Triple Jump followed by a full slate of distance, sprints, jumps and throws on Saturday from the CSU-Peublo ThunderBowl. 

This will be the Cowboys and Cowgirls first competition since the 2023 Mountain West Indoor Track & Field Championships during the last week of February. 

In the team standings, the Cowgirls finished eighth with 32 total points while Colorado State won the team title with 125.50 points edging out New Mexico by just one point. The Cowboys closed out the meet in sixth with 49 points while Air Force won the men's team title with 208 points.
