LARAMIE, Wyo. (March 2, 2023) – The Wyoming Cowgirls opened spring practice this week in Laramie. The Cowgirls, who are under the tutelage of new Head Coach Kaylee Prigge, officially opened spring practice after spending the previous weeks in individual workouts.

Wyoming has 10 returnees from last season's squad, including the Mountain West Freshman of the Year in Tierney Barlow. The Cowgirls also welcome back setter, Kasia Partyka, who was second in the Mountain West last season in assists per set with 9.87. Corin Carruth also returns, after finishing third amongst the Cowgirls with 224 kills last season. Carruth was also a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree.

The Cowgirls will have five exhibition matches this spring, including a pair at home in the UniWyo Sports Complex. Central Wyoming will come to town March 25 at 3 p.m., while Colorado will be in Laramie April 15 at 1 p.m. Both home contests are free and open to the public. UW will also face Northern Colorado and Colorado State in Greeley April 1 and will travel to face MSU Denver April 29.
