LARAMIE, Wyo. — The University of Wyoming Track & Field Teams will head down to Colorado Springs and the Air Force Academy to compete at the Invitational at the Peak for an all-day meet on Friday, Feb. 3.

The majority of the Cowboys and Cowgirls will be competing after a week off from competition with the exception of a handful of athletes who competed in select events last week. There will be no distance runners on the track this weekend for Wyoming.

Things will get started on Friday at 11:30 with the Women's Weight Throw and Long Jump along with the Men's Pole Vault. On the track, the Men's 60M Hurdles will get things going at noon, and will finish up at approximately 4:20 with the 4x400 relay.

A full schedule and meet information can be found on GoWyo.com

The meet will be held at the Cadet Field House on the campus of the Air Force Academy. Spectators will be allowed – there will be NO admission charge. However, since there is another athletic competition on Friday, spectators who arrive 6:00pm and later will be charged admission/entry fee. Spectators will need to enter from the south side of the building.

Last time out.

Jaymison Cox broke the school record in the 400M with a time of 47.46 at the Colorado Invitational. Cox ran the school record time to the tune of a third place finish. He breaks the previous record of 47.68 ran in 2002 by Seth Billy. That time leads the Mountain West this season.
