LARAMIE, Wyo. (10/31/23) – The Mountain West Conference is celebrating its 25th season as a league with, appropriately, its 25th season teams. The team is comprised of the 25 best players in conference history, and the sport of soccer was announced Tuesday.
The University of Wyoming had a pair of players recognized. Mercy Adetoye and Lori Scheider were honored for their decorated careers in the brown and gold.
Adetoye played at Wyoming from 2002-05. She's second on Wyoming's career goals list with 24 and Wyoming's all-time points list at 58. Adetoye is also seventh all-time in assists with 10.
Scheider played goalkeeper for the Cowgirls from 2001-03. She's second in program history with 324 saves, ninth in GAA at 1.76, fifth in minutes played at 3,986 and third in goalkeeper shutouts with 11.
