LARAMIE, Wyo.  (Oct. 12,2023) –LARAMIE, Wyo.  (Oct. 12,2023) –The Wyoming Cowboy basketball season is less than one month away, as Wyoming will face Northern New Mexico in the Arena-Auditorium in the season opener on November 7 with an exhibition game coming against Metro State on October 27. Head coach Jeff Linder along with guard Brendan Wenzel and forward Caden Powell are representing the Cowboys at Mountain West Media Days at Resorts World in Las Vegas on Thursday.

The conference also released the preseason poll for the 2023-24 season. The Pokes were picked to finish tenth in the conference. San Diego State, defending national runner-up was picked to win the conference. Boise State was slotted second with New Mexico, Nevada and Colorado State rounding out the top-five.
