Laramie, Wyo. (Oct. 1, 2023) – A national television audience on FOX will have the opportunity to see a match-up of two of the Mountain West's top teams, Wyoming vs. Fresno State, this coming Saturday. The game will kick off at 6 p.m., Mountain Time from Wyoming's War Memorial Stadium. The announcement was made jointly by FOX and the Mountain West Conference Sunday morning.
Wyoming will enter the game with a 4-1 overall record and a 1-0 record in the Mountain West Conference. Fresno State is 5-0 this season and is 1-0 in the Mountain West.
Last week, Fresno State was ranked No. 25 in the nation in the Associated Press poll and both Wyoming and Fresno State were receiving votes in the AFCA Coaches Poll. That was prior to Wyoming's 35-26 victory over New Mexico and Fresno State's 27-9 win over Nevada.
Among Wyoming's other big wins this season was a season-opening victory over then No. 24 ranked Texas Tech of the Big 12. Fresno State opened its 2023 season with a road win over Purdue of the Big Ten and also has a win over Arizona State of the Pac-12.
