LARAMIE, Wyo. — After week three the 2022 National Football League is in full swing and we saw a Wyoming native and former Cowboy continue to do his thing as Logan Wilson intercepted Joe Flacco of the New York Jets to help lead the Cincinnati Bengals to its first victory of the season. Since entering the league in 2020 Wilson has seven interceptions, the most by any Linebacker in the NFL.
Wilson added seven tackles to his effort and the Bengals defense held the Jets offense to just four field goals in the 27-12 win on the road. Wilson and the Bengals will be in primetime on Thursday night as they take on the Miami Dolphins at home.
Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills went up against the Dolphins in a divisional showdown that featured both teams at 2-0 on the year. Allen and the Bills came up just short in a 21-19 loss. The quarterback threw for 400 yards and two touchdowns while going 42-for-63 on the day. Next up for the Bills is a game at Baltimore on Sunday at 11:00 (MT)
Tashaun Gipson and his San Francisco 49ers went up against Mike Purcell and the Denver Broncos at Mile High under the lights on Sunday Night Football. In a battle of the defenses Purcell and the Broncos came out on top with an 11-10 victory. Purcell came up big for Denver pressuring quarterback Jimmy Garropolo and forcing him out of bounds in the end zone for a Broncos safety and had five tackles in the game while Gipson had five total tackles for the 49ers.
Marcus Epps continues to come up big for the Philadelphia Eagles, getting the start again for the defense and helping his team knock off the Washington Commanders. Epps and the Eagles are undefeated at 3-0 as they head into week four with a matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Defensive End Carl Granderson tallied his first sack of the season this week against the Carolina Panthers. Granderson had half a sack and three tackles but the Saints fell to the Panthers 22-14 on the road.
Chad Muma and Andrew Wingard's Jacksonville Jaguars went into Los Angeles and came out with a 38-10 win against the Chargers. Both Muma and wingard didn't see the field on defense but contributed on special teams for the 2-1 Jaguars.
Chase Roullier suffered an injury for the Washington Commanders in last Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. He will be out for an undetermined amount of time.
