Laramie, Wyo. (Sept. 2, 2022) -- The 2022-23 University of Wyoming men's golf team will play an exciting schedule in 2022-23, including three events that will be hosted by the Cowboys. Wyoming will play a total of 13 events in seven different states -- Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawai'i, Missouri, New Mexico and Utah during the fall and spring seasons.
The first of five fall tournaments will tee off on Friday, Sept. 9 at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational hosted by the Air Force Academy. Wyoming's fall portion of its schedule will also include the Ram Masters Invitational hosted by Colorado State, the William H. Tucker Invitational hosted by New Mexico, the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational hosted by the University of Colorado and will conclude in Maui, Hawai'i at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational hosted by the University of Hawai'i.
The Cowboys will begin the spring portion of their schedule hosting the Second Annual Wyoming World Team Match Play event in Palm Desert, Calif., on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 10-11. UW will follow up that match play event by hosting the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, also in Palm Desert, on Wednesday-Friday, March 1-3. The Pokes will compete in two other tournaments in March when they travel to San Diego, Calif., for the Lamkin San Diego Classic followed by the Arizona N.I.T. in Tucson.
Wyoming will open the month of April by hosting its third event of the spring, the Cowboy Classic, on Monday-Tuesday, April 3-4 in Chandler, Ariz. A trip to the Tiger Collegiate Invitational hosted by the University of Missouri will follow. UW will make its annual appearance in the BYU Cougar Classic for its final regular-season tournament before traveling to Tucson, Ariz., for the Mountain West Conference Championships, Friday-Sunday, April 28-30.
