LARAMIE, Wyo. — The 2022 Wyoming Invite will kick off the year's Cross Country Campaign for both the Cowboys and Cowgirls at the Little America Golf Course in Cheyenne, Wyo., on Saturday September 3rd. The women will get things started at 9am with the men to follow at 9:30. 

Ahead of the season getting started both squads were picked to finish in the exact spot they finished up the 2021 Mountain West Conference Championships in. The Cowboys were picked fifth while the Cowgirls were slotted in sixth. 

Head Cross Country Coach Scott Dahlberg.. "Absolutely excited for the season. This time last year we knew that one thing we lacked was experience. Through last fall both the men and women were able to gain that experience." The athletes have been training their tails off, they've been working real hard. They're putting the work in and they want to get the next level." "A nice opening meet in Cheyenne. A rust buster is what we call it"

Among the four-team field will be the 13th ranked women of Colorado State. The men's team from CSU is also receiving votes in the USTFCCCA National poll. 

Spectators are welcome at Little America. Admission is free.
