LARAMIE, Wyo. (6/29/22) – The Western Athletic Conference announced its Academic All-WAC honorees Wednesday. The University of Wyoming had a quintet of swimmers recognized.

Matt Lang, David Mihalic, Jack O'Neil, Gavin Smith and Sam Stuckey earned the award. In order to qualify student-athlete must have at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA and have competed in at least 50 percent of their team's competitions.

These five were recognized in addition to 11 other Cowboys that earned the same award this spring. That list includes Jakob Borrman, Miller Browne, Andrew Columbus, Daniel Cumnock-Francois, Thomas Diaz, Reilly Gilbert, Juan Gonzalez, Cameron Murphy, Ryan Netzel, Grant Sloan and Harry Tjaden. 

These honors occurred on the heels of both Wyoming's men's and women's swimming and diving teams being recognized as Scholar All-American Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.
