LARAMIE, Wyo. - The Wyoming Track and Field squad are set to make their third straight trip across the state line this weekend as they head to Boulder, Colo., for the CU Invitational.

It will be a return to competition for the majority of the team after having week off, but for the sprinters and throwers they will be looking to build off of an impressive outing a week ago.

A select group of throwers and sprinters were in action last weekend competing at the Front Range Open coming away with a total of seven event wins on the day.

Amongst the event winners Nathan Reid was the lone Wyoming athlete to win two separate events winning the men's discus and shot put. Reid has now won three events in his last two competitions and has back to back wins in the discus. Addi Henry and Cossette Stellern also picked up first place finishes winning the women's discus and hammer throw respectively. 

On the track Wyatt Moore and Jaymison Cox both picked up wins for the Pokes taking first in the 100M and 400M respectively. Kiona Gibbs was the lone Cowgirl tin win a running event taking the top spot in the 200M. 

The Cowboys and Cowgirls will compete against student athletes from Air Force, Colorado College, Central Wyoming College, Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State, Colorado-Mesa, UCCS, CSU-Pueblo, Metro State Denver, and Northern Colorado. 

The CU Invitational will open up competition on Friday and wrap up on Saturday.
