Wyoming Track & Field Heads to Fort Collins for Jack Christiansen Invitational

LARAMIE, Wyo. — The University of Wyoming Track & Field Team will head to Fort Collins, Colo., for the Jack Christiansen Invitational to be hosted by Colorado State University on Friday and Saturday April 22-23. 

The event will get started on Friday with the Men's and Women's Hammer Throw starting at noon. That will be the only collegiate event to take place with a full slate on Saturday. 

Saturday will get started with the Women's 5000M at 10:05 and a variety of Field events to being at 10:00 am. The Women's Shot Put, Men's Discus, and High Jump will all kick things off with the rest to follow. The day is scheduled to end with the Men's 4x400 relay at 5:35Pm.

Per CSU: Spectators will NOT be allowed on the infield during warm ups or competition. Spectators for the throwing events will not be allowed to watch inside the track, they must stay outside of Lane 8 in the grass. Spectators for the long and triple jump must be outside of the fence on the East side of the track. 

This weekend meet is the final time the Cowboys and Cowgirls will be on the Front Range before heading to Fresno, Calif., for one final meet before the 2022 Mountain West Conference Championships.
