LARAMIE, Wyo. — The University of Wyoming Track & Field Teams will split up for two days of competition this weekend on Friday Feb. 11th and Feb. 12th.
The Cowboy and Cowgirl distance runners will head to Seattle, Wash., to compete in the Husky Classic hosted by the University of Washington while the rest of the team heads to Albuquerque, N.M., to take part in the Don Kirby Invite hosted by the University of New Mexico.
Last time out for the distance runners, Oisin O Gailin and Katelyn Mitchem set program records in the Mile at the Colorado Invitational. The two will look to improve on that mark in a good field in Seattle. The duo will compete on Saturday in the Mile while the event will get started on Friday with some Pokes running the 3000M on Friday.
Friday in New Mexico for the rest of the team will get started with the Women's Weight Throw at 2:30PM with the Women's 200M slated to cap the first day of the event at 7:10PM. Saturday will kick off with the Women's Shot Put at 9:30AM with the Women's 4x400 Relay at 2:30PM as the last event to end the two-day competition.
