LARAMIE, Wyo. (Feb. 24, 2022) –The Cowboys return to the Dome of Doom on Saturday hosting the Nevada Wolf Pack at 6 p.m. in a contest on CBS Sports Network. The Cowboys have four games remaining with three of those contests in the Arena-Auditorium, as Wyoming has gone 12-0 at home this season.

The Pokes head into the contest with a 22-5 overall record and a 11-3 mark in the conference sitting in second place. Wyoming fell on the road at Colorado State by a score of 66-55 on Wednesday. The Pokes knocked down 11 three pointers against the Rams and have hit 10 or more three in seven games this season and average 8.1 three-pointers per game. Wyoming is shooting 35 percent from behind the arc this season and 47 percent from the field. Wyoming is holding the opposition to 42 percent from the field and under 30 percent from behind the three point line.
The Wolf Pack have righted the ship of late, winning three of their last four games. They sit in eighth in the Mountain West Conference standings with a 6-9 league record. Nevada averages 72.9 points per game, shooting 45.1 percent from the floor and 33.6 percent from 3-point land. The Wolf Pack allow foes to score 73.7 points, hitting 43.7 percent of their shots and 35.6 percent from deep.

Wyoming is led by scoring this season by
Graham Ike at 20.6 per game to rank second in the league and No. 12 in the nation. He also leads the team in rebounds at 9.6 per game for second in the MW. He is one of three players in the nation to average over 20 points per game and nine or more rebounds.
Hunter Maldonado adds 19.0 points per game to rank fourth in the MW. He ranks second in the conference and ranks sixth in the nation with 6.2 assists per game.
Drake Jeffries adds 10.7 points per night and ranks No. 13 in the nation shooting 43 percent from behind the arc.
The Wolf Pack are led by Grant Sherfield who pours in 18.7 points per game, and that ranks fifth-best in the Mountain West Conference. He also leads the team in assists with 6.5 per contest, which ranks first in the league, while also corralling 4.1 rebounds per game. Desmon Cambridge Jr. adds 16.9 points per contest and stuffs the stat sheet in many other categories. He averages 5.3 rebounds, two assists, 1.7 steals and 1.3 blocks per contest. Will Baker and Warren Washington also score in double figures, chipping in 11.9 and 10.2 points per game, respectively.

Wyoming leads the all-time series with Nevada, 18-9, in a series that dates back to 1938. The two squads have split the last 10 meetings, however, the Pokes currently possess a four-game win streak in the series.
