CARY, N.C. (Oct. 3 and 4, 2022) – Maria Oreshkina began qualifying play Monday and Tuesday at the ITA All-America Championships. Oreshkina dropped her opening round matchup to Notre Dame's Julia Andreach, 6-3 and 6-1. Oreshkina became the first Cowgirl to be selected for the qualifying portion of the ITA All-Americas since Veronica Popovici in the fall of 2013.

Oreshkina then played on the consolation side of the bracket against a familiar foe in Colorado State's Radka Buzkova. Oreshkina lost a hard-fought three-setter against Buzkova, losing 6-4, 4-6 and 2-6. Sophie Zehender's consolation match on Monday was abandoned by the event after being cancelled Sunday by rain.
