Logan Wilson and the Bengals hosted the Minnesota Vikings to kick off their season. Wilson started for the Bengals and had a solid day playing 87% of the defensive snaps and recording seven total tackles and one quarterback hit. The Bengals pulled out a thrilling 27-24 overtime victory to begin the season 1-0.
Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills got their season started on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bills struck first as Allen connected with Gabriel Davis from three yards out. Despite Allen throwing for 270 yards and rushing for 44 more, but the Bills fell to the Steelers in their season opener.
Tashaun Gipson and the Chicago Bears traveled to Los Angeles to face the Rams in a primetime matchup. Gipson made the start for the Bears playing on every defensive snap and recording three solo tackles, but the Bears fell 14-34 to the Rams.
Andrew Wingard made the start for the Jacksonville Jaguars in their season opening road contest against the Houston Texans. Wingard played a majority of the defensive snaps picking up four solo tackles and two assisted tackles. Fellow former Cowboy Jacob Hollister did not not record any stats in Jacksonville's 21-37 loss to Houston.
Chase Roullier and the Washington Football Team played host to the Los Angeles Chargers in week one. Roullier made his first start of the season and the 54
th start of his career playing every offensive snap during the game, but Washington came up short against the Chargers, 16-20.
Carl Granderson appeared both on special teams and defense for the New Orleans Saints as they rolled to a 38-3 win over the Green Bay Packers.
Mike Purcell started for the Denver Broncos playing on 24 snaps in their 27-13 victory over the New York Giants.
Marcus Epps and the Philadelphia Eagles started their season on the road against the Atlanta Falcons. Epps saw limited playing time but recorded two total tackles in the Eagles 32-6 victory over the Falcons.
Tyler Hall played on special teams for the Los Angeles Rams in their 34-14 win over the Chicago Bears.
Rico Gafford was signed to the Denver Broncos Practice Squad.
There are two marquee matchups in week 2. Mike Purcell and the Denver Broncos will travel to Jacksonville to face Andrew Wingard, Jacob Hollister and the Jaguars. Tashaun Gipson and the Chicago Bears will play host to Logan Wilson and the Cincinnati Bengals.
