LARAMIE, Wyo. (March 9, 2021) – The Wyoming soccer team will open up a two-match road swing on Thursday against the Air Force Falcons followed by an afternoon match on Sunday against the Colorado College Tigers. Thursday's match is set for 2 p.m. MT while a 12:00 p.m. time is scheduled for Sunday. Both matches will be played in Colorado Springs. Initially, the match against the Falcons was scheduled for Friday but due to possible weather in the area it was moved up. Due to COVID and social distancing practices, there will be no fans allowed at either venue.
"The next pair of matches will be a great opportunity to bring some lessons learned from last weekend," head coach
Pete Cuadrado said. "We found out a lot about our team with the ability to stay in games and even see one through for a win. Obviously, we have a slightly shorter timeframe to prepare, but moving the match versus Air Force up should allow for better conditions and thus a better match from us. We should match up well with both teams this weekend, and really need to clean up our passing and some finer points in our defending organization. When we did well in those areas this past weekend, we created some very good opportunities. So, having the team see those points in video and on the field at training will allow them to carry those adjustments to Thursday's match. We're sitting in a good place and are hoping to gain some momentum this weekend."
