Cowgirl Golf Inks Additional Recruit

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Feb. 5, 2021) – Cowgirl head golf coach Josey Stender announced the additional signing of Grace Dunkleberger to a National Letter of Intent. She is the third signee and will join Maria Farnum and Kyla Wilde in the fall of 2021.
 
"I am excited and very appreciative to have Grace join us next fall," Stender said. "She fits perfectly within our culture as she is a high achiever in all she pursues.  She has tremendous athleticism and work ethic which has positioned her as one of the top graduates of 2021 Colorado junior and high school golf."

Dunkleberger will join the Cowgirl program after a strong career at Rock Canyon High School. She is a four-time letterwinner in golf and has collected a number of individual and team accomplishments.
 
A First Team All-State selection in 2019 after finishing eighth, along with placing third at the regional tournament as well. She helped her team to back-to-back conference championships and a regional championship during her sophomore year. In 2020, she had a scoring average of 73.84 along with finishing first at the JGAC Tour event with a two day total of 140 and third after a round of 71 at the AJGA Sung Huun Park event Montana.  Dunkleberg shot a 72 at the Continental League Tournament at the Highlands Ranch Golf Course and finished with a round of 76 at the CHSAA 5A State Championship Tournament to place eighth.  She is currently coached by Dave Vanning.
 
An excellent student, she has a gpa of 3.9 plus is a member of the National Honors Society, the Highest honor roll and an Athletic All-State Team selection.
 
She is the daughter of James and Elizabeth Dunkleberger and has two siblings, Henry and Hannah.
