LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Feb. 17, 2021) – The Cowgirl Swimming squad opened up the 2021 Mountain West Championship on Wednesday night with two relays at the Buchanan Natatorium. Wyoming sits in a third place tie with Nevada and 106 points. Defending champion San Diego State leads all teams with 128 points followed by UNLV with 112 points.
The 200-medley relay and 800-freestyle relays opened up the first day of the conference championship. In the 200 medley, the team of sophomore

Kira Crane placed fourth with a season-best time of 1:41.24.

Action will continue tomorrow with preliminaries for the 500-freestyle beginning 12 p.m. MT, followed by the 200 IM, 50 freestyle, plus the 400-medley relay. Diving will begin with the 1-meter at the Cadet Natatorium in Colorado Springs. The evening session with the finals of each event are set to start at 8:30 p.m.
