LARAMIE, Wyo. (Nov. 10, 2021) – Wyoming Volleyball Head Coach Chad Callihan has announced the addition of five future student-athletes who will be joining the Cowgirl volleyball team beginning next fall. UW will be welcoming Tierney Barlow (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Skylar Erickson (Caldwell, Idaho), Sarah Holcomb (Murphy, Texas), Jessie Moore (Argyle, Texas) and Rylee Schulz (Carlsbad, Calif.).
"As we look to honor five student-athletes tomorrow on Senior Night, we are also excited to welcome our next class of Cowgirls," said Callihan.
"This class has tremendous potential and we look forward to watching them grow as players and people over the coming years."
Tierney Barlow | 6'2" | Outside Hitter | Colorado Springs, Colo. | Liberty High School
Barlow was a first Team All-League performer at Liberty High School following her junior season and took home Honorable Mention All-State honors last season. Barlow is also a two-time Gazette Prep All-Star Second Team honoree and is an excellent student. Barlow was an Academic All-State selection and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Skylar Erickson | 5'8" | Libero | Caldwell, Idaho | Parma High School
Erickson was a multiple-time all-conference selection during her time at in high school, where she took home First Team All-League honors this past season after being named second team following her junior campaign. Erickson, who is also a decorated track & field student-athlete, helped her team to a second-place finish at the Idaho State Championships at Parma High School this season.
Sarah Holcomb | 6'2" | Middle Blocker | Murphy, Texas | Plano East High School
Holcomb is multiple-time letterwinner in both volleyball and track & field at Plano East High School. An excellent student, Holcomb is a member of the National Honor Society and is a decorated track & field student-athlete. Holcomb won the district and area titles in the high jump.
Jessie Moore | 6'2" | Outside Hitter/Middle Blocker | Argyle, Texas | Argyle High School
The Argyle High School product, Moore, is a two-time First Team All-District honoree and was an All-Area Team selection following her junior season. Moore was also named to the TGCA All-Star Team last season.
Moore helped lead her club team to a 3rd-place finish at the USAC Girls National Championships and is a highly-touted Prep Dig Texas recruit according to the publication.
Rylee Schulz | 6'0" | Outside Hitter | Carlsbad, Calif. | Carlsbad High School
Schulz, who was the Carlsbad High School Team Captain in 2021, is a multiple-time All-Avocado West All-Conference honoree. Schulz was named to the Scripps Ranch Tournament and Dave Mohs Tournament All-Tournament Teams.
Following her sophomore season, Schulz was named to the Sophomore 79 List and for her club team, was named the 2019 High Performance Girls Select MVP and was named to the GJNC Open Division All-tournament Team. Schulz is also a member of the National Honor Society.
