Cowboys and Wolf Pack Close Series on Sunday

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Jan. 23, 2021) – The Wyoming Cowboys and the Nevada Wolf Pack close out their season series on Sunday in a 2 p.m. contest on CBS Sports Network. Wyoming took the opener on Friday evening by a score of 71-64, as Wyoming held Nevada to 30 percent from the field.

Fans can listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The contest will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Erick Pauley will have the call with Kevin McKinney on color.

Note from Series Opener

Wyoming held Nevada to 30 percent from the field in the first half, as it was a season low for an opponent in the first half this season and lowest since 22 percent by UNLV on Jan. 11, 2020.

•The 21 points in the first half by Nevada was a season low in the first frame this season.

•The Cowboys knocked 12 threes on the night for the ninth game with 10 or more three pointers this season. Wyoming headed into the game leading the conference in three pointers.

•Nevada shot 34 percent from the field for the game for a season-low for a Wyoming opponent.

•Freshman Graham Ike made his debut for the Pokes. It was his first action in a game since his senior season of High School on Dec. 5, 2019. He finished the game with three rebounds and one assists in nine minutes.

•Freshman Xavier DuSell added 14 points for his sixth game this season in double-figures. He has done so in three-straight games.

•Sophomore Kenny Foster added 15 points for his sixth game in double figures this season and 12th of his career matching his total from last season.

•Sophomore Kwane Marble II added 15 points for his fifth game in double-figures this season and 16th of his career.

•Freshman Marcus Williams added 13 points, as he has scored in double-figures in every game this season. He along with Maldonado added five assists apiece.

About The Series

Wyoming leads the all-time series with the Wolf Pack by a mark of 16-9 in a series that dates back to 1938. Wyoming is 9-5 against Nevada in Laramie. The Pokes have won two-straight in the series for the first time since 2015.
