Kevin Anderson stayed in state for college after having a successful high school career at Kelly Walsh HS. Anderson was a state champion and was named the Wyoming National High School Wrestler of The Year.
How has practice and training differed from high school to college?
The biggest difference in practice is how hard I work now compared to in high school.
What are you most looking forward to going into your fist season at UW?
I'm looking forward to improving as much as possible this year and homing all my skills.
What is one thing you learned in your high school career that will help you to compete at the college level?
I learned that to be successful you have to commit yourself 100% and even more than that at times.
What is your favorite memory from your high school career?
My favorite memory from high school wrestling is being with my friends all the time having as much fun as possible.
Do your model style after any other wrestlers?
I don't think I model the style of someone else, I like to watch everyone and combine them to make my own unique style.
What's the biggest goal you have set for yourself in your first year at UW?
My biggest goal for this year is to improve as much as I can and have fun.
Did you grow up being a big fan of the cowboy wrestling team?
I definitely was a cowboy fan growing up.
What's it like to get to stay in state and wrestle for the cowboys?
It's the best feeling, the support is unreal because everyone comes together for our state and university.
