LARAMIE, Wyo. (March 13, 2020) – The University of Wyoming women's soccer team recorded one victory and one draw through its first two matches of the 2020 spring season.

On Saturday, March 7th, the Cowgirls faced the Utah Utes in Salt Lake City. The two squads finished 1-1 after 90 minutes of play. The Utes struck first with a goal in the first half, however the Cowgirls would rebound and play a very strong second half.  Wyoming's goal came from sophomore Savannah Warner who headed in a goal off a set piece from redshirt freshman Jamie Tatum

In its first competition of the spring on February 29th, Wyoming and the Colorado School of Mines played to a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes. The Cowgirls would come out on top after all five Cowgirl shooters converted their penalty kicks in a Penalty Kick Shootout. Newcomer Rilee Castilla and sophomore Indianna Asimus each had solid offensive performances. The match was played in Golden.

UW was scheduled to return to action on Sunday, March 29 against the Creighton Blue Jays. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 situation the remainder of the spring has been cancelled.
