A total of six former Cowboys saw game action during week three of the National Football League season.
After signing as an undrafted free agent, and making his NFL debut in week one for the Jaguars, Andrew Wingard came up with a huge play on Thursday Night Football. The Jags started out the game with a three-and-out and had to punt to the Titan's Adoree Jackson. Jackson failed to come up with the punt cleanly, and Wingard made sure he wouldn't accomplish that by laying him out while he was searching for the ball. Jacksonville recovered the ball and went on to score the game's first touchdown.
Josh Allen has led the Buffalo Bills to a 3-0 record, one of seven NFL teams to start the season perfect. Allen marched the Bills down the field 73 yards for the first score of the game for either team, late in the first quarter. The drive was capped off by a one-yard touchdown pass to Dawson Knox, and a good two-point conversion pass to Cole Beasley. After the Bills went up 14-0 on Cincinnati, the Bengals scored 17 unanswered to take the lead late in the fourth. With the ball back, and down by three, Allen led his team 78 yards down the field and Frank Gore scored from the one-yard line to give the Bills the lead, and the game. Allen finished up with 289 all-purpose yards and the one touchdown pass.
