LARAMIE, Wyo. (July 8, 2019) – As the summer tourism months get started, our diverse Cowgirl team would like to give our fans a guide to their hometowns.
Tereza Vitulova, a sophomore, breaks down the best ways to visit Domasov, Czech Republic.
Domasov is a smaller town that is about 22 kilometers (13.5 miles) west of Brno, which is the second most populated city in the Czech Republic. Tereza recommends staying in the center of Brno, putting you close to all the things that area has to offer. For great food, she would direct you to Fæncy Fries, Brunche's or Coffee Trail.
After you've had a bite to eat, Tereza says the Spilberk Castle, Vila Tugendhat and the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul are can't-miss sights for tourists visiting Brno. Tereza also recommends the Technical Museum, Brno Observatory and Planaterium and Anthropos Pavilon as great places to visit. If nature is more your style, Moravsky Kras is a system of famous caves located north of Brno that also features trails for hiking and biking.
When your day is just about over, Tereza adds that Slast, Bar Ktery Neexistuje, Ctyri Pokoje or Panda Cirkus are great places nearby to finish the night. Additionally, there are a few festivals in the area this summer, including Beats for Love, Colours of Ostrava and Pride. For shopping, Tereza says the center of Brno, Vankovka and Olympia are your best bets.
Tereza also added a few phrases that will help you get around Brno:
- Ahoj, jak se mas? – Hi, how are you?
- Jakym mam jit smerem? – a way to ask for directions
- Kde je nejlepsi pivo? – Where is the best bar?
