FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March. 13, 2019) – The Wyoming divers closed out the 2019 NCAA Zone E Championship on Wednesday in the platform event.
For the Cowgirls, they would have their first finalist of the competition. Senior
CeeJay Harris would record a score of 214.95 in the prelims which would earn 14
th place and a spot in the finals. Fellow senior
Peyton GrandPre would fall just short of the finals placing 21
st in the prelims with a score of 194.85 while freshman
McKenna Houlihan finished in 29
th with a mark of 176.15. In the finals, Harris would record a final total score of 395.85 to place 18
th.
On the men's side, senior
Ryan Russi would have another good day. In the platform prelims, he tallied a score of 287.95 which earn him 11
th place as well as a spot in the finals. In the finals, Russi record a score of 274.35 which would give him an overall total score of 562.30 which would earn him a 12
th place finish to close out the Zone E Championships.
The Cowboy and Cowgirl swimming teams will participate in the CSCAA National Invitational Championship beginning tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. MT. The event will run through Saturday at the Busbey Natatorium in Cleveland, Ohio.
