Wyoming Diving Wraps Up Zone Championships

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March. 13, 2019) – The Wyoming divers closed out the 2019 NCAA Zone E Championship on Wednesday in the platform event.
 
For the Cowgirls, they would have their first finalist of the competition. Senior CeeJay Harris would record a score of 214.95 in the prelims which would earn 14th place and a spot in the finals. Fellow senior Peyton GrandPre would fall just short of the finals placing 21st in the prelims with a score of 194.85 while freshman McKenna Houlihan finished in 29th with a mark of 176.15. In the finals, Harris would record a final total score of 395.85 to place 18th.
 
On the men's side, senior Ryan Russi would have another good day. In the platform prelims, he tallied a score of 287.95 which earn him 11th place as well as a spot in the finals. In the finals, Russi record a score of 274.35 which would give him an overall total score of 562.30 which would earn him a 12th place finish to close out the Zone E Championships.
 
The Cowboy and Cowgirl swimming teams will participate in the CSCAA National Invitational Championship beginning tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. MT. The event will run through Saturday at the Busbey Natatorium in Cleveland, Ohio.
