FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March. 12, 2019) – Wyoming diving was back in action on Tuesday at the NCAA Zone E Championships. A trio of Cowgirls competed in the 1-meter event while one Cowboy competed in the 3-meter event.
After falling just short of making the finals on Monday in the 1-meter, senior
Ryan Russi would tally a score of 298.65 in the 3-meter prelims which would earn him a spot in the finals. Russi would record a score of 287.80 which would give him a final total score of 586.45 and a 16
th place finish in the finals.
On the women's side, the Cowgirls would be led by senior
CeeJay Harris who finished 27
th in the 1-meter prelims with a score of 239.65. Freshmen
McKenna Houlihan and Senior
Peyton GrandPre would finish in 47
th and 48
th in the prelims with scores of 214.60 and 214.10 respectively.
The diving squad will close out competition tomorrow with the platform which will start with the women's prelims at 12 p.m. MT.
