A total of seven former Cowboys saw game action in week five of the NFL season.
Tashaun Gipson made his fifth start of the 2019 season for the 3-2 Houston Texans. Gipson recorded three tackles and one hit on the quarterback in the win over Atlanta. On the Falcons final drive of the game, Gipson picked off Matt Ryan at the Houston 21 yard-line and took the interception back to the end zone for a 79-yard return. It was the third touchdown of his eight-year career.
Josh Allen has led the Buffalo Bills to a 4-1 record through the first five games of the season. After entering the concussion protocol from taking a hit in week four against the New England Patriots, Allen was cleared to play and made the start against the Tennessee Titans this week. Allen through for 219 yards and two touchdowns. The Bills scored the first TD of the game, to go up 7-0, when Allen led his team 60 yards down the field and capped off the drive with an eight-yard touchdown pass to Lee Smith. The Titans responded in the second half to tie it up at seven, but on the Bills first possession of the fourth quarter, Allen completed what ended up being a game-winning seven-yard TD strike to put the Bills up 14-7.

Andrew Wingard, S, Jacksonville Jaguars (L, 27-34): Saw action at safety and recorded one tackle while contributing on special teams for the Jags.
