LARAMIE, Wyo. (Jan. 17, 2019) – The Wyoming Cowboys return from a mid-week bye to battle the New Mexico Lobos on Saturday afternoon in "The Pit". The contest is slated for a 4 p.m. start, as the contest features two of the most dynamic scorers in the Mountain West in Wyoming's Justin James and New Mexico's Anthony Mathis.
 
The game will be televised on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN App. Trey Bender will be on the call with Richie Schueler on color.
 
Fans can listen to the contest and follow stats on GoWyo.com. The game will be broadcast live on radio over the 25 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Dave Walsh and Kevin McKinney will call the action.
 
A Look at the Matchup
Wyoming heads to New Mexico with a 4-13 overall record and a 0-4 mark in MW play. The Pokes were last in action on Jan. 12 falling at home to Utah State by a score of 71-55. Wyoming ranks fourth in the MW in three-point percentage this season at 36 percent. Wyoming also ranks fifth in the conference shooting 72 percent from the free throw line.

Redshirt Freshman Hunter Thompson adds 11.6 points per game to go along with 3.8 rebounds. True freshman Trace Young adds 8.8 points per game through five contests. He also adds 5.4 rebounds per game. Fellow true freshman Trevon "TJ" Taylor adds 7.1 points per game and has scored in double-figures in back-to-back contests.
 
New Mexico is led in scoring by Anthony Mathis at 16.2 per game. He leads the MW in three-pointers per game at 3.8. He has made 65 triples on the season and is shooting 45 percent from behind the arc. Vance Jackson adds 12.6 points per game and is second on the team adding 7.1 rebounds per game. Carlton Bragg leads the team grabbing 7.3 rebounds per game and adds 10 points per night.
