LARAMIE, Wyo. (Aug. 22, 2018) -- Throughout the season, the series "Getting to Know Cowgirl Soccer" will feature one of the women's soccer team's 12 newcomers. GoWyo.Com recently caught up with freshman Indianna Asimus from Teralba, Australia.
 
What position do you play? Midfield/Forward
What is your major? Molecular biology and Microbiology
What's your favorite color? Red, the same favorite color as my grandma.
What's your favorite animal? Australian Cattle Dog
What's your favorite movie? The Lion King
What is your dream job? To be a scientist, helping to manipulate medicines to find cures for diseases.
Who is your favorite athlete? Ellyse Perry, as she represented Australia in both sports Cricket and Soccer.
Outside of soccer what's your favorite sport to watch? Rugby League
 
If you could meet any celebrity of your choice, who would you meet? Neil deGrasse Tyson. I love science and would like to ask him some questions.
 
If you were a music artist, what genre of music would you sing? I do play guitar and piano so if I was a music artist I would probably perform 'Singer/songwriter' genre.
 
If you could have one superpower, what would it be? To fly
 
Why do you enjoy playing soccer?  I enjoy playing soccer because all my best and finest memories in my childhood are revolved around soccer. As soon as I kicked a soccer ball and scored my first goal I knew I enjoyed soccer and would be addicted to the game and that feeling for the rest of my life. I also enjoy playing soccer because it gives me inspiration to never give up, team spirit and getting excellence through hard work and dedication. I moved all the way across the world to play and enjoy high level soccer, and I wouldn't change a thing! 
 
What's your favorite part about Laramie so far? Definitely without question the PEOPLE! Every person in Laramie is so friendly and is always up for a chat. Of course, the people on the team are just amazing and have made me feel so welcome, and I'm very proud to say they are not just my teammates, friends… but are my family.
 
What is your favorite part about soccer season? Playing the game I love, and getting to travel around America for it. Also spending a lot, like so much time with my teammates is definitely one of my favorite parts of soccer season. Lastly, my ultimate favorite part of soccer season is WINNING games! There is no better feeling than winning a game, and sharing it with your teammates and coaches and the people of Wyoming.
