GoWyo.com: You have been in Laramie for the summer. What have you enjoyed most?

Hendricks: I have really enjoyed everything about the town and the team. It has been really fun being out here.

GoWyo.com: You are a tremendous shooter and proved yourself at the junior college level. What have you been working on this summer to prep for the upcoming season?

Hendricks: I have really worked on my ball handling skills this summer. I also have been working on my game defensively as well.

GoWyo.com: You played for a national championship in junior college. Did that level of competition help prepare you for the Division I level?

Hendricks: It really did. It was a whole new level of competition than what we had seen all season. A lot of high end talent that played there has me prepared for this level.

GoWyo.com: What have you noticed about Wyoming that has made you excited to be a Cowboy?

Hendricks: I would say the community. I grew up in a similar place and I'm very comfortable being in Laramie. The people have been so welcoming in my short time here.

GoWyo.com: What made you decided to come to Wyoming?
Hendricks: I liked the bond that everyone on the team had and the bond the team has with the State of Wyoming. It is a special place that I wanted to be a part of.

GoWyo.com: You are a very accomplished three pointer shooter. How excited are you to play in a place that can showcase your abilities?

Hendricks: It is something I do well. I have practiced every day of my life and I think I fit very well into the system here in Wyoming.

GoWyo.com: What does Jake Hendricks do outside of basketball?

Hendricks: I really enjoy just getting outside and hanging out by the pool. We used to go hunting with my dad and that is something I have always enjoyed as well.
