COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sophomore diver
Karla Contreras competed on the one-meter and three-meter springboard at the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships yesterday and today.
Contreras began her 2018 NCAA Championships yesterday on the one-meter springboard. She placed 35th with a score of 262.30. The top eight advanced to the final and the next eight competitors took part in the consolation final.
Today on three-meter springboard, Contreras improved her mark with a 28th-place finish scoring a 296.30. She was within 20 points of scoring in the top 16. Both the one-meter and three-meter events featured fields of 49 divers.
Contreras will conclude her championship weekend tomorrow on the platform.
