Sargent Competes in Men’s Agave Amateur in California

INDIO, Calif. (Dec. 20, 2018) – Wyoming Cowgirl golfer Erin Sargent is competing in the Troon Men's Agave Amateur Championship this week, with the final round slated for Friday. Sargent will tee off for her final 18 on Friday at 7:30 a.m. PT.
 
The Agave Amateur is held at Shadow Hills Golf Club, and is one of three tournaments included in the Troon Saguaro Amateur series. The tournament runs from Dec. 18-21, 2018. Other tournaments featured include the Gobbler Amateur (Nov. 18-21, 2018) and the Saguaro Amateur (Jan. 1-4, 2019).
 
The Troon Saguaro Amateur Series has a season long points race and the champion is crowned at the Saguaro Amateur. Each tournament, competitors are awarded points based on their performance. Players that participate in multiple events receive additional bonus points.
 
Sargent enters her final round in a tie for 50th at 5-over. The Cowgirl junior fired a first-round 75, before carding a 72 in her second round.
 
Alex Jordan and Hunter Epson are the clubhouse leaders at 10-under after 36 holes of play.
