Laramie, Wyo. (May 25, 2017) --  Excitement is high for the 2017 University of Wyoming football season and two of the most anticipated home games on the schedule are the first-ever appearance of the Oregon Ducks in Laramie and the annual Border War meeting with rival Colorado State.

Starting Thursday, June 1 at 8:30 a.m. and continuing through the close of business on Thursday, June 15, Cowboy Joe Club members and 2017 Cowboy Football season-ticket holders will have the first opportunity to purchase single-game tickets to those two highly-anticipated home games vs. Oregon and Colorado State in War Memorial Stadium.

The Pokes home game with Oregon is set for Saturday, Sept. 16 while the Border War with CSU will be played on Saturday, Nov. 4.  Both games will kick-off at 5 p.m., M.T.  Single-game tickets are priced from $70-$100 (Youth $60) for the game vs. Oregon, while Border War tickets are priced from $40-$75 (Youth $25-$30).

Eligible ticket-holders and donors may purchase online at GoWyo.com/tickets, by phone (307-766-7220) or in person at the Athletics Ticket Office.

Fans are encouraged to purchase online for the fastest service and to avoid long wait times.  To purchase online, fans should login to their account at GoWyo.com/tickets (choose “My Account”).  Once logged-in, navigate to “Buy Tickets”, choose “Football” and click on “2017 Football Single-Game Tickets Pre-sale”.  Cowboy fans who have not setup their online account, or linked their season-ticket/donor account to their online account, should call the ticket office by Tuesday, May 30 for assistance (307-766-7220).  Online accounts must be linked to CJC/ticket-holder accounts in order to purchase pre-sale tickets.

Should any tickets remain after the exclusive period for Cowboy Joe Club members and season-ticket holders, UW Athletics will announce plans for a public sale of single-game tickets at a date to be determined.

With high demand and season-ticket sales the strongest since 2011 when Nebraska visited Laramie, Cowboy Fans are strongly encouraged to secure season tickets for the best available seats.  Season tickets can save fans up to 45% over single-game prices with options starting at $149 for adults and $89 for youth.  Monthly payment plans are also available for no additional fee.

The Cowboys, led by 2016 Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year Craig Bohl, are the defending MW Mountain Division Champions.  Several top performers from last year’s Cowboy team return in 2017.  Junior quarterback Josh Allen is recognized as one of the elite returning QBs in the nation.  The Cowboy defense will be led by dynamic playmakers Andrew Wingard, who was one of 16 national semifinalists for the 2016 Jim Thorpe Award as the nation’s top defensive back, and 2016 freshman All-American linebacker Logan Wilson of Casper, Wyo.

The 2017 schedule will feature a rare, seven-game home schedule, including hosting the Oregon Ducks.  Oregon has been one of the most successful programs in the nation over the past decade. In January 2015, Oregon played in the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship Game, and in January 2011 the Ducks played in the BCS National Championship Game.
