INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Freshman diver Scotia Mullin placed 14th overall in the
platform event after finishing sixth in the consolation final at the Men's NCAA
Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday at the IU Natatorium.
Mullin qualified for the
consolation final after a 331.80 in the preliminary, the second-highest score
by a Cowboy in the platform under the current format. He is also just the
second Cowboy diver to earn All-American honorable mention honors after Mark Murdock
scored a 351.20 in 2011 to place 12th. He is the first Cowboy freshman to
receive All-American accolades in the platform event.
