TUCSON, Ariz. – Wyoming men's golf sits tied for 13th after a
two-round score of 591 (+15) on Monday at the OMNI Tucson National-Catalina Course.
Senior Ryan Wallen and junior
Glenn Workman lead the Cowboys through the first two rounds of the tournament,
each tied for 41st with a score of 147 (+3). Workman got off to a hot start in
the opening round, finishing with two eagles in his final four holes to shoot a
two-under 70. He was one of only two players to record two eagles on Monday,
which was also more than the combined total of six of the 16 teams in the
field.
Junior Drew McCullough shot the
low round for Wyoming in the afternoon, posting an even-par 72 to finish the
day with a score of 148 (+4). Junior Arron Lickteig bounced back from an
opening-round 77 (+5) to shoot 73 (+1) in the second round and tie for 31st
overall with a total 150 (+6).
Redshirt-freshman Dan Starzinski,
playing as an individual, also stepped up in the second round with a two-over
74 to bring his 36-hole total to 153 (+9). Sophomore John Murdock is tied for
79th after two rounds with a 155 (+11).
The Cowboys will tee off for the final round
