Erik Spurlin-Renfroe earned Second Team All-Area honors as a wide receiver his senior season at Gahr High School in Cerritos, Calif.  He helped lead Gahr High School to an 8-3 overall record in 2016 and a third-place finish in the San Gabriel Valley League.  The Gladiators earned a berth in the CIF Southern Section Division 10 Playoffs where they lost to eventual champion St. Anthony by only three points (21-24) in the first round.  Gahr played for head coach Greg Marshall.

       Spurlin-Renfroe was also recruited by Hawai'i and San Jose State.
