2017 Wyoming HS Football State Championships Kick Off at War Memorial

Laramie, Wyo. (Nov. 9, 2017) -- The 2017 Wyoming High School Football State Championships kick off at War Memorial Stadium at the University of Wyoming this Friday and Saturday with five title games. 
     
On Friday, Nov. 10, the Class 2A State Championship between Glenrock and Mountain View will begin the weekend's games at Noon.
    
The second game on Friday will feature Cody vs. Torrington in the Class 3A State Championship Game kicking off at 3 p.m.
     
Saturday, Nov. 11 will see three state title games played, beginning with the 1A, 6-Man contest between Farson-Eden and Kaycee at 10 a.m.
     
The second game on Saturday will pit Big Horn against Pine Bluffs in the Class 1A, 11-Man Championship at 1 p.m.
   
This year's Wyoming State Football Championships will conclude on Saturday with the Class 4A State Championship Game, featuring Natrona County vs. Sheridan at 4 p.m.
     
"The high school football championship games are a very special event for the participating schools and their fans, and for the University of Wyoming and our community," said Tom Burman, UW Athletics Director.  "After hosting this event for the past several years, we know how special it is for the high school student-athletes to be able to play these championship games in War Memorial Stadium.
 
"We want to welcome everyone to campus this weekend.  We wish all the teams and their fans good luck in this weekend's games."

Friday, Nov. 10
      Noon         Class 2A Championship, Glenrock (Visitor) vs. Mountain View (Home)
 
      3 p.m.        Class 3A Championship, Cody (Visitor) vs. Torrington (Home)
 
Saturday, Nov. 11
      10 a.m.      Class 1A, 6-Man Championship, Farson-Eden (Visitor) vs. Kaycee (Home)
 
      1 p.m.        Class 1A, 11-Man Championship, Big Horn (Visitor) vs. Pine Bluffs (Home)
 
      4 p.m.        Class 4A Championship, Natrona County (Visitor) vs. Sheridan (Home)
