LARAMIE, Wyo. – University of Wyoming director of golf and men's head coach Joe Jensen announced the addition of four signees to the 2018-19 Cowboy golf roster on Wednesday. Liam Clancy (Billings, Mont.), Kirby Coe-Kirkham (Sheridan, Wyo.), Jimmy Dales (Northville, Mich.) and Tyler Severin (Johnstown, Colo.) will all don the Brown and Gold next season after signing National Letters of Intent during the November signing period.

"This recruiting class is tough, athletic, focused and mature with good foundations and fundamentals," Jensen said. "It is a solid class that will come in and continue to build upon what we're doing both athletically and academically. These players will continue the tradition and the expectation of Wyoming golf."

Below is information about each of the four new Cowboy golfers.

Liam Clancy | Billings, Mont. | Billings Central HS

Clancy hails from Billings, Mont., where he played for coach Mark Hutchinson at Billings Central High School. He won the Montana State Class A individual championship as a sophomore in 2015, leading his team to a state title. Along with a third-place finish at the state championships his freshman year, he has also finished as the state runner-up the past two seasons as a junior and senior. He took fifth place at the 2017 Montana State Junior Championship and finished tied for the second alternate spot in the 2017 U.S. Junior Amateur qualifier in South Dakota. Clancy is also accomplished in the classroom, accumulating a 3.5 GPA through his junior year of high school.

Kirby Coe-Kirkham | Sheridan, Wyo. | Sheridan HS

Coe-Kirkham is the lone Wyoming native in this recruiting class, hailing from Sheridan Wyo., where he played for coach Larry Martoglio at Sheridan High School. Coe-Kirkham is a three-time first team all-state competitor, with runner-up finishes at the Wyoming 4A State Championships each of the last three seasons. During his junior season, Coe-Kirkham won seven of 10 high school tournaments and finished as the 4A East conference champion in the spring. Jimmy Dales | Northville, Mich. | Northville HS

Dales joins the Cowboy golf team from Northville HS in Northville, Mich., where he played for coach Chris Cronin. Dales is very experienced on the amateur circuit. In recent months, Dales has collected individual victories at the IMG Junior World Qualifier in South Lyon, Mich., Michigan Junior Amateur Qualifier in Novi, Mich., and the Golfweek Junior Tour event at Forest Akers, the course belonging to Michigan State University. Dales carded rounds of 70 and 69 to take third in the Michigan Junior Amateur this summer and was runner-up at the Golfweek Junior Tour event at the University of Michigan in October. In 2016, he won the U.S. Junior Amateur qualifier in Medina, Ohio, also winning the Hurricane Junior Tour College Prep Series at Indiana. Dales is an All-State Honorable Mention honoree, KLAA All-Conference First Team honoree and has received multiple All-Area distinctions from local media outlets.
