LARAMIE, Wyo. – Wyoming soccer's senior goalkeeper
Georgia Rowntree has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District VII Second Team, announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The honor is the first of Rowntree's career.
A native of Sydney, Australia, Rowntree is majoring in Kinesiology and currently holds a 3.91 GPA. She finished her Cowgirl career this season as one of the most accomplished goalkeepers in UW history. Her goals-against average of 1.18 is the lowest of any Wyoming keeper to play multiple seasons. Her 209 saves rank sixth in Cowgirl history and her 13 shutouts rank third. Rowntree logged 4,641 minutes in the net for UW, the fourth-most of any Wyoming goalkeeper. She is a three-time Mountain West Scholar Athlete as well as a three-time Academic All-Conference honoree.

To earn Academic All-District soccer honors a student-athlete must have a cumulative 3.30 GPA, be at least a sophomore athletically, have competed in 50 percent of her team's competitions and completed a full calendar year at her respective institution. CoSIDA District VII is comprised of schools from nine states including Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming.
