LARAMIE, Wyo. (Jan. 26,
2017) – Wyoming women’s soccer has earned the National Soccer Coaches
Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the 2015-16 academic
year.
“We are excited to make this announcement regarding the
academic success of our team,” UW head coach Pete Cuadrado said. “It exemplifies
the character of our student-athletes and their motivation to represent the
University of Wyoming in a positive way both on and off the field. Along with recognizing
the student-athletes, I would also like to thank Al Reiser and his entire team
for their support of our program.”
The Cowgirls recorded a team GPA of 3.40 during the 2015-16
academic year, the highest of any Wyoming program. This fall, they continued
their success with a cumulative GPA of 3.51 while notching their
third-consecutive 10-win season.
