DENVER, Colo. – Freshman Scotia Mullin was named the Western
Athletic Conference Diver of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday
afternoon.
Mullin, a native of Glasgow,
Scotland, scored a career-high 351.95 on the 3-meter springboard in Saturday’s double-dual
against Minnesota and Denver. His mark was enough for a first-place finish and an
NCAA qualifying score. He also placed second on the 1-meter board with a score
of 299.35. The conference honor is the second of his career and fourth for a
Wyoming diver this season.
The Cowgirls will be back in
action this weekend, but the men’s squad will not return to the pool until a
dual at UNLV on Jan. 28.
