COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Freshman Karla Contreras was
named Mountain West Diver of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday
afternoon.
Contreras, a native of Ciudad
Guzman, Mexico, scored a 316.95 on the 3-meter springboard in Saturday’s dual
against Colorado School of Mines. Her mark was an NCAA qualifying score. It is the
first conference honor of her career.
Wyoming swimming and diving will be
back in action on Friday, Jan. 13, against Denver and Minnesota. The double-dual,
hosted in Denver, Colo., is set to begin at 4 p.m. MT and will continue on
Saturday starting at 12 p.m.
