The Wyoming women’s soccer team
begins its quest for a Mountain West title with the first practice on Wednesday,
August 3, and its first and only exhibition match just ten days away. The
Cowgirls will open the 2016 campaign against the South Dakota Coyotes on
Friday, August 12, in an exhibition contest. The game is set for 5 p.m. in
Hastings, Neb.
In the ten-day
lead up to the Cowgirls’ exhibition opener, gowyo.com will feature one Wyoming
athlete each day in its Cowgirl Close-Up series.

started in 9 of 15 games played in 2015. She scored her first goal of her
career against Morehead State (9/4), a game-winning header, and netted two
goals against Kansas (9/11) to earn Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week
honors.
