Another day has come and gone, which means it is one day closer to the 2016 season opener for UW volleyball! The gap is now just 12 days before Wyoming takes on three non-conference opponents at the Purdue Mortar Board Premier. With the AVCA preseason poll that came out earlier this week, UW will kick off the season on Aug. 26 against the 20th-ranked Boilermakers.

As a junior, setter Courtney Chacon became the ninth player in program history to record 2,000 career assists. No. 12 for the Cowgirls currently has 2,358 assists after leading UW a year ago. She paced UW in assists on 23 different occasions during her junior campaign. Additionally, Chacon was second on the team with ten double-doubles last season.
