Final Results Olympic Trials

Three
UW swimmers opened action at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials on Sunday in
Omaha, Neb. A total of four Cowboys are competing in the trials that run
through July 3. The event is being held at the CenturyLink Center in
Omaha.
Ryan Ball
was the first Cowboy swimmer in the water and he completed the 400 IM
in 4:29.75, which placed him 58th overall in the morning’s preliminary
heats. Wade Nelson finished 75th in the 400 IM with a 4:32.15, as Ryan Nelson touched the pads in 4:34.99 to take 85th overall in the same event.
The
women’s 100 fly and 400 IM, as well as the men’s 400 free and 100
breast were the other events that took place on the first day of the
U.S. Olympic Trials. Monday’s action will include the women’s 100 back,
100 breast and 400 free, while the events for the men will be the 200
free and 100 back.
Tuesday's events will be the women's 200 free
and 200 IM, as well as the men's 200 fly. The 100 free and 200 breast
will take place on Wednesday before the women's 200 fly.
Ball will be back in action competing in the 200 back and 200 IM on Thursday. Kyle White will take part in the 50 free on Friday morning.
