University of Wyoming head volleyball coach Chad Callihan has announced the promotion of assistant coach Kristin Belzung to the position of associate head coach.

She will enter her fourth season with the Cowgirls this coming fall, having joined Callihan’s staff in the summer of 2013. Belzung, who is entering her seventh year as a volleyball coach, works primarily with the setters and with recruiting.

Belzung has been crucial in helping the Cowgirls earn 67 wins since she was named an assistant coach. The 67 wins are tied for the most in any three-year period of the programs history. This past season, UW posted the second-best winning percentage in school history (.767), and recorded an 11.14 assists per set ratio.
