ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Scoring Results

The University of Wyoming men's golf team carded a 297 (+9) at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate on Saturday. The Cowboys' final round charge at the UNM Championship Course helped UW finish in sixth place in the highly competitive 16-team field. Wyoming ended the tournament at 882 (+18) with rounds of 294 (+6), 291 (+3) and 297 (+9).

"I'm happy with our finish," UW golf head coach Joe Jensen said. "For us to finish sixth in that kind of field is very respectable."

Senior Kamrin Allen led the Cowboys on Saturday with a tally of 71 (-1), as he finished the tournament at 220 (+4), tying for 24th place. Junior Ryan Wallen also finished tied for 24th in the 100-man field at 220 (+4). Wallen ended his final round at 75 (+3).

Sophomores Drew McCullough and Glenn Workman carded a 75 (+3) and 76 (+4), respectively, on Saturday. McCullough and Workman ended their tournament with a 221 (+5), tying them for 30th. Sophomore Quintin Pope rounded out Wyoming's team score with a third-round of 83 (+11), as he wrapped up the tournament at 235 (+19).

New Mexico tallied a 285 (-3) in the final round, as the Lobos took the team title at 840 (-24). Texas Tech finished second with a score of 859 (-5). UNLV and Colorado State tied for third at 868 (+4). San Diego State followed in fifth place with a three-round total of 872 (+8).

New Mexico's Andrej Bevins won the individual medalist honors at 206 (-10).

Wyoming will return to the course on Monday at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational in Boulder, Colo. Tee time is set for 8:45 a.m. MT, as the tournament will begin in a shotgun start.
