Junior Scott Carter wrapped up the University of Wyoming track and field team's 15 competitors at the NCAA West Preliminary on Saturday. He placed 37th in the triple jump with a mark of 48-2 3/4.

Graduate student Harry Fisher was the only Wyoming student-athlete to advance to the NCAA Championships on June 10-13 in Eugene, Ore. He qualified in the 800 meters to become the third Cowboy or Cowgirl to make the national meet and the first in a track event.
