COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Wyoming's Kerry White has been named the Mountain West Female Track Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday. The weekly award is the first of her career.

White, a sophomore from Te Aroha, New Zealand, won the 800 meters at last Friday's Air Force Team Challenge in Colorado Springs, Colo. Her altitude-converted time of 2:11.76 was a personal best and ranked third in Cowgirl indoor history in the event, while placing third in the conference this season. She also ran a leg on Wyoming's winning 4x400-meter relay on Friday.

The Cowgirls and Cowboys return to action at New Mexico's Don Kirby Invite on Friday and Saturday in Albuquerque, N.M.
